At the edge of his vision, he caught sight of the little white cup of coffee, indicating Kieran had arrived. For a few moments, he ignored it out of concentration, attention on the paper in front of him before he carefully penned in some brief notes. Putting the pen down, he reached up and rubbed at his eyes behind his glasses before readjusting them, glancing at his co-worker with a tired smile.
"Yes, well, that would mean more work in the horrible, awful morning. You should know I'm not fully awake until noon." When he was younger, he'd been even more of a night owl than he was now, but old habits died hard. Getting up at seven in the morning was not his idea of a fun time. At least he could try and fight off the sleep with some caffeine, which he reached over to the styrofoam for. Ah, yes, blessed coffee.
