"Sounds like we got the place to ourselves. You got any plans for tonight?" Propping his head up on his palm, Reno pretends to look around the bar again, and pointedly not in Kieran's direction. "Heard there's a hot poker game in the back."
Downing another shot, Reno shakes his head in mock disappointment. "So what are ya interested in doing? Seems like a waste just sitting here. A free night needs excitement! Y'know, danger. And a lot of booze."
"I just came in for a drink, myself. I have to head out of town first thing." He checked his phone before sending off a message and then setting another empty glass down.
"I'm sure there'll be plenty of excitement soon enough. Alex is going to be stopping in as soon as she gets clear.
"Hoo boy, 'nother night of the Wonder Sisters show." Sitting up, he looked over at the bar trying to see if Elena was there yet. She's always good for a tease or two. "Makes me glad I left the family behind."
"Oh, c'mon, you're not leavin' already?" His arm drapes over the back of the chair, finally giving him a good looking over. "You just got here. Hey, I'll tell ya what I'm planning." Okay, so that might have been something of a ploy, but sitting alone when he could have company? That was just damned depressing.
"I'm flying out at daybreak. Not like I can sleep when I've got to babysit a rookie." He met the other man's gaze for a long moment before he shook his head slightly.
Slowly, Reno nods, disappointed but hey, that was the job. He understood. "Sorry... didn't realize you were leavin' that early. Guess I'll see ya when you come back."
After a few minutes, footsteps follow him, Reno's usual quick pace pretty recognizable. "Hey, wait up. I'll go with ya." Hands in pockets, Reno trotted up, blazer zipped against the cold. "Y'don't mind, do you?"
"Decided I didn't really want to watch a rerun of the Dueling Sisters." Reno shrugged, standing next to him with both hands in his pockets. "Sorry, didja have plans?"
"Gets kinda annoying. Most the time I feel sorry for the kid. But... that's not really why." Reno scratched the side of his head awkwardly, squinting off down the street, then moved to rub the tattoo under one of his eyes. "I guess I just felt like it. It's not like we get to spend a lot of time together with the job." Then, something else Kieran said caught his attention. "Are ya stressed or something?"

Kieran drops a handful of gil on the table before he straightens, heading for the door and then out into the night air.

"Yeah, the last thing I needed was to be in the same room with those two again. They should sell tickets."
